Arc offers S.E.E.D.S. - Free program to increase disability awareness and sensitivity in our community
The Arc of Somerset County is proud to offer S.E.E.D.S., Student Education & Experience for Disability Sensitivity.
S.E.E.D.S. provides students with a unique opportunity to learn about the disabled population through an informative in-class lecture, dynamic student activities, and group discussion.
The program reaches fifth and sixth grade students in Somerset County, introducing disabilities and touching on topics such as the challenges and opportunities facing the disabled population. Students will learn the impact harassment has on the disabled population and increase their acceptance of diversity and social responsibility.
Cirriculum can be modified to present to adult groups for a small fee.
