The
Arc of Somerset Appoints New Executive Director
The
Board of Directors of the Arc of Somerset County is
pleased to announce the appointment of Lauren Panarella
to the position of Executive Director for The Arc of
Somerset County, effective immediately. For seventeen
years, Ms. Panarella has demonstrated exemplary commitment
and dedication to serving individuals with developmental
disabilities and their families by assuming key roles
and positions in numerous programs at the Arc of Somerset
County.
In her career at the Arc, Ms. Panarella has held numerous
positions: Residential Program Manager, Assistant Director
of Residential Services, Support Specialist, Acting
Director of Employment Services, Family Support Coordinator,
and Associate Executive Director. Most recently, in
the capacity as Acting Executive Director, she has provided
the organization with quality management and keen, strategic
vision.
In her new role, Ms. Panarella will execute the strategic
plan; improve community external relationships; and
champion fundraising and solicitation of corporate donations,
which will benefit over one thousand children, adults,
and their families in Somerset County.
Ms.
Panarella holds a B.A. in Psychology from Rutgers University,
M.A. in Guidance Counseling and Educational Leadership
from Montclair University and a Post Master’s Certificate
in Family Therapy. Certifications: State of New Jersey
Rehabilitation Counselor License and Social Worker Certification.
The Arc of Somerset County works to support people with
intellectual and developmental disabilities and their
families realize their dreams by providing lifelong
advocacy and quality services, and by promoting the
prevention of developmental disabilities.

NEW SERVICES OFFERED AT THE JERRY DAVIS EARLY CHILDHOOD
CENTER
• Individual Therapeutic Services are offered
for birth to 7 years old on a fee for service basis.
o Services include individual occupational therapy,
physical therapy, and speech therapy
o Independent occupational therapy, physical therapy,
and speech therapy evaluations.
o Toddler speech and language group
o Therapies include a wide variety of methods such as
(but not limited to): feeding therapy, listening program
and sensory integration
• Homebound Therapeutic Services including individual
occupational therapy, physical therapy, and speech therapy
for preschool disabled children contracted with school
districts.
