If you are visiting us from an outside agency, The Arc of Somerset County is pleased to offer the six Pre-Service Trainings; Overview of Developmental Disabilities; Preventing Abuse and Neglect; DDD Medication, CPR and First Aid and Wheelchair Securement. We post our Pre-Service Training Calendars a month in advance on this page.

The Quality Department is responsible for the following:

  • IHP Coordinator present at IHP Meetings to ensure all plans are Person Centered

  • UIR Coordinator: Review, submit, and track all Unusual Incident Reports (UIR), Follow-Up UIRs and Agency Investigations to DDD Reporting Offices (SRU, CIMU, OOL, or DDD) in accordance with the DHS Office of Integrity & Accountability Risk Management Systems Data Dash Board ** See how we're doing at: http://www.state.nj.us/humanservices/staff/opia/risk/reports.html

  • Review, track, and trend all GER's documented in Therap and provide service departments with quarterly analysis and quality trend report of UIR's

  • Therap Administer

  • Chair of Quality Management Committee

  • Conducts Agency Internal Investigations concerning abuse, neglect, exploitation

  • Development, deployment, and analysis of various program and stakeholder surveys and all training class evaluations

  • Provide departments with licensing and accreditation preparation and assist with resolving deficiencies

  • Update Policies and Procedures Manuals for agency and service departments for compliance

  • Conduct a number of different service department audits such as Fiscal, Program and Therap Accountability

  • Development of monthly Quality Newsletter with the emphasis on Person Centered Thinking and Therap Tips

  • Responsible for overseeing the Agency’s Strategic Plan, components, and quarterly and annual updates

  • Ensure compliance with the College of Direct Support
