Parenting Your Teenager: Do you ever wonder why your teenagers do what they do?

Using research from well known authors Adele Faber and Elaine Mazlish, parents will learn positive communication strategies to utilize when problem solving with their teenagers. Parents are encouraged to come to the workshop with examples from their own children which they are willing to receive feedback utilizing the workshop strategies.

This workshop will be facilitated by Lisa Zaneto, Family Interventionist from The Arc of Somerset County. Participants will learn:

- How to engage a teenager’s cooperation
- How to acknowledge your teenagers feelings
- How to problem solve with your teen and how to work out issues together
- Alternatives to punishment
- Why teens do what they do and how a teenage brain works

Registration is required and the cost for the workshop is $5.00 which may be paid by cash or check. Checks are made payable to Friends of Somerset County Youth.
